They are one-year plants, which have been cultivated in the nursery. They are about 45 to 55 cm long and are available every year from the beginning of January to the end of June. The process of preparing bare-rooted rootstock takes a year and a half and half. Therefore the orders of the plants need to be made at least 1 to 1.5 years before the planting of the plants by the vintner.

Bare-rootes rootstocks, are available in bundles of 30 pieces and are packed in cartons of 300 pieces in total. These are plants that the vine grower will graft himself, after first planting them in the vineyard. These plants can only be of the Certified category, i.e. it is not allowed to produce material from mother plantations that are not Certified. That way, the vintner and the establishment of his new vineyards are protected as much as possible.
